Actually it is only a little piece of metal that covers the soleniod which atatches via the front ground bolt (on mine)

Well... the PITA is at my "new" mechanic!
Turns out the starter is the culpret as you all suspected.
I'm just gonna have him put it in. I don't have the time or patience to do it myself right now!

Also, she's leaking a few fluids... Anti-Freeze, Power Steering Fluid, and Trans Fluid. All minor leaks, fortunately. Some loose and/or bad hoses. We'll replace/fix those and hopefully all will be well.
