OK. I did my best to trickle as much silicone in the cable sleeve. It works better but not there yet. With a plier, I bent one end of the spring, by the carb, to add tension. More silicone in the cable. Better but not there yet. making progress.
I wonder if the resistance does come from the carburetor itself.
