It is a very good way to see before and after results of mods, or to learn the best way to launch your car, or get around a corner.

One G is equal to the force of gravity. A 4000 lb car cornering at 1 G has 2000 lbs on the wheels, and 2000 lbs of sideways force. Very impressive. NO street car do this. The C6 and C5 come VERY close. F1 cars only exceed 1G due to aerodynamic down forces.
This also applies to acelleration and deceleration as well, not just cornering.
