I am getting my block rebuilt at one of the top sites in Toronto and they are charging me $1,200.00 CDN (around $750.00 US) for the labor. Of course all the parts are extra but this includes the remove/install charge.
Hope this helps and good luck.
Rob

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Next time you're there see if they'll work on cars from the States! Hard to find someone that inexpensive in Michigan.
Thanks,
P.S. Sweet "little red corvette"!

Hi Mark
The place is called Active Racing Engines. They operate just west of Toronto in a large shop. They are the featured machine shop on a Canadian hotrod car show called "Dream Car Garage".
Check out their website @ Activeengines.com. The owners name is Mike and he knows his stuff. If I had the $$ I would have had my baby stroked to a 383 but am settling with a regular rebuild to my 350/350 h.p. block.
Regards,
Rob
