I want to replace the left front calipher on my '71. It has been replaced before. Whoever did the work rounded the fitting/compression nut that marries the steel line from the proportional valve to the rubber line. It won't take a sized wrench. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can use to turn the fitting and not ruin it (further)?

Bite the bullet and replace the line, it's not that big of deal. A small vice grip should loosen it. If the line is still in good shape you may be able to shorten it enough to replace the inverted flare nut and roll a new flare (if you have a double roll flaring tool)

Edit: forget about fixing the old line. A new one is only $12.50 from Zip, Catalog #Z-339
