Vette(s): 1980, 1975 all making numbers
I have an 80 vette with either 3.08 or 3.07 in it now (stock) i want to upgrade to 4.10 or 4.11 but i need a new carrier does anyone know where i could get one?

I went from 3.55 to 3.70 and noticed a big difference in acceleration. can't imagine what it the difference would be like from 3.08's to 4.11's. wow!

I think 3.90 is the lowest ratio offered for that housing.

I bought my 2,73 gears from Ikerd's. Personally I would never want any car with 4.11 rear and 1:1 final gear on the tranny... What's the point getting from 0-60 in 5 secs if your top speed is 100mph? I went for more power (540hp/552tq) and lower gear, performance wise I'm very satisfied, I get 0-60mph in 4 secs and top speed is over 180mph. |cheers|
