Hello all,

My rear tires on my 1969 Corvette lean slightly like this, "/".  I'd love to get a four wheel alignment but I don't just want to take it anywhere.  Do any of you guys have recommendations on where I can take it in the DFW and surrounding area?

Thanks for all your help in advance!

John

The rear wheels are supposed to lean in at the top which is called negative camber. You can actually do that adjustment yourself if you want to get a bubble protractor. The adjustment is made at the inner end of the strut rods. You will need a straight board that will span the wheel from edge to edge and a level surface for the car to sit on. You will need to lower the car on the ground after each adjustment and then either drive it or roll it back and forth to let the suspension settle out to get an accurate reading.

Chuck and Dave Anderson....they only work on Corvettes, specializing in the older cars(like ours). They do really good work, and are certainly qualified to do an alignment.

Sunday's.  It's right behind Corvette World on what ever that street is.  Last time I had mine done it was $40 for the front and $40 for the rear.

Thank you very much for your reply,

I think I'd rather a professional do it as I'm told I can have front, and rear end, alignment for less than a couple hundred dollars and I'm sure it would be better than anything I would do.  LOL.

Much thanks for your help though my friend!  I really appreciate your willingness to take the time to help!

Perfect!

Thank you!  I work pretty close to Benbrook so that location might work out well!  I LOVE the idea that they're used to working on these old cars as that makes me feel much safer.

Thank you so much!  I'll check with them this coming week.  Have a great weekend!

Hi,

I appreciate your help my friend.  I was unable to find a place called Sunday's.  Can you tell me which city it is located in?

Thanks again for your help!

They're just about 1/2 way between 377 and Southwest Blvd on Vickery. Small shop, but they do great work.
