I had requested brain info on my engine missing. 79 L82, 60,544 miles. Missing more at low rpm. Higher rpm, not as noticeable.
Checked everything that I was able to, plugs, wires, vacuum lines, full tank of fresh 93 octane, no luck. I made an appointment with Corvette Performance South in Pompano Beach, FL.
I hit the expressway. Fifteen miles down the highway at 70 mph, it smoothed out like a new car again.
I did keep the appointment, had it checked out, everything OK.
From now on, I will make sure it gets driven more often.
Anyone have any ideas what it was ? I would say, sitting around the garage too much. SATGTM.

Might have had a little varnish or gum build up in the carb. Fresh fuel may have dissolved it. Or you may have had a valve or lifter sticking a little. |headscratch|
Thats cool it's all better now.

A spark plug dry on on the tip may not be dry inside where the insulator is. A good run usually takes care of it.

nothing cures hibernation sickness like easing it up to 80 or so on the interstate and holding it for about 5 minutes..

then go home and trickle water into the carb until it quits blowing black...

case closed, bar open, lets go..
