What is your favorite shock for your vette? I have an 80 with Gymkhana suspension which is really stiff. It is great on the turns. Currently I have Delco performance shocks (11 years old with 50K miles on them). The bushings are dried/worn out. |saluteflag| Considering Delco performance, KYB, and Bilstein.

After you do the homework, I think you will be very happy with the Bilstein setup. I think they are the best shock on the market. Have them on the 69 Vette / Suburban and BMW. They are great!!!!

Vette(s): 1979 Black on Black, heavily modified. 1975 Orange, bone stock (for now).
I have adjustable Koni's in my 79. You can't go wrong with Bilstein shocks though. |cheers|

I ended up going with KYB high pressure shocks. They are supposed to be inbetween the ACDelco high press and Bilstien for stiffness. After looking at some pictures of some C3s with large stress cracks on the frame, I figured a little less forgiving shock may be better for this old gal. So far they seem good. The ride is much more comfortable and quiet than the ACDelco that was on there. I changed alot of things on the front end at the same time, so it is hard to credit the difference from just the shocks. |saluteflag|

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
I am currently changing out to the KYB GR2 shocks as they are touted as having the correct shock absorption for use with the fiberglass spring. Talk to anyone, though, and they'll tell you to go with Bilstein.

Bilstein or KYB. If you want a smoother ride( and cheaper) Monroe- Gas-a- Matics are comparable to stock but a little more forgiving |headscratch|

There is a couple of places you can order them from. Mid America Deisgns, http://www.madvet.com, which also helps Adam with this site because they are a supporting vendor; and Vette Brakes and Products http://www.vettebrakes.com/.
At both sites, search for Bilstein shocks. Hope this helps |wavey|
