I need a little help on this one. I have a nice set of exhaust manifolds from my 1975 Vette because I put on a new system including headers. My question is: will these manifolds fit on the 1981 I just bought or am I out of luck. Same 350CI engines. It would be nice if they fit because the 1981 has most of the pollution crap removed already. What do you guys think? Thanks much, Darrell

The manifolds will bolt on to the engine no problem. Can't say for sure that they will line up properly with your head pipes, tho. I believe the '80-up cars had the tubular manifolds, instead of the cast iron ones.

Those tubular stainless manifolds were prone to cracking. The 1980 California only LG4 305 cu.in. vettes had them, along with the '81 and '82's. The '80 49 state L48 & L82 engines still had the cast iron ramhorn manifolds.

The '80 & '81's should be a 2" dump and the '82's from what I've read in the past were increased to a 2.5" dump.
I'm willing to bet those would bolt right up. I can't see GM spending the money making variations in their exhaust systems.
