I would have to vote on the rod knock side, but either way, it isn't good, or maybe it is cause you get to swap.

that noise reminds me of when a friend of mine was looking at a 68 cuda about 25 years ago. the guy wanted $50 for it and it had a noise just like yours. my buddy ask me what i thought of it so i took it out on the road and wound it up to 80 mph for about 2-3 minutes. it stayed together so he bought it, we dropped the oil pan and found a real loose bearing. polished the crank with some 1000 paper and slipped in a new bearing. it ran for 2 more years then he sold it for $500

Sounds like a rod knock on #6 cylinder

First impression is a Low end knock and a nasy one at that.I'm not proficcient enuff to tell from a recording but its fast and mean and definetely crank speed which makes it main or rod...sorry bro'
