Hi, I want to put the correct engine lift brackets back on my 1969 427/390hp engine. Anyone know what stamps/symbols could be on the front and rear brackets? I currently have a front bracket which has the omega symbol on it. Should the back bracket have a letter L or V ? Also should the rear bracket corners be 90 degree angles or 45? Thanks

Welcome to the Shark Tank, Michael!

I don't have this info, but, if no-one else here steps up, might I suggest getting the judging manual for your year. If you are planning on having your car judged(NCRS/Bloomington), you will need it.
Click on the NCRS icon below my sig. picture here, and it will take you to the NCRS site, where you can get anything you need as far as judging info, and manuals.

Good luck on your search!

Engine Lifting Eyes

A lifting bracket is attached to the driver’s side front of the intake manifold. On small blocks, it is attached to the second bolt from the front, and on 427 engines, to the front two bolts. The front lifting bracket is orange when the intake is orange and natural steel or painted silver when the intake is aluminum. The front lifting bracket is removed during assembly on the tri-power 427’s to allow for the fuel manifold. Another bracket attaches to the passenger’s side of the bell housing to a block attaching bolt on the small blocks and to the rear of the right side of the 427’s. Regardless of the engine, the rear lift bracket attaches with one bolt. It is painted engine orange with the block except on small blocks with M-40, which have no rear lifting hardware and those 27 engines with aluminum heads, which have a natural steel rear bracket.

Did not say anything about stampings are angles

Hi Guys, Thanks for the reply's. I was hoping for a quick and easy answer as I have seen different stampings L or V. Perhaps it does not matter. Hummmmm. Thanks Again..
