If it is doing this with just a short time running, it has to be a large vacuum leak below the throttle, or the throttle blades are opened too much, possibly to mask a different problem, such as too much fuel.
Try starting it, and then lowering the idle as low as it will go, and still run. Then turn it off and see how it responds.
Make sure the secondary throttle blades are not open at idle, too. That could be an issue. The secondaries should be fully closed at idle.
