question, do you know what would cause a car's brakes not to return? (we're talking vacuum assisted, front disk, rear drum). I have to lift the pedal with my foot after applying the brakes (this is NOT on my CE which is in my signature). Thanks Bunches!

It sound like a bad power booster. Does the pedal return with the engine off? Hit the pedal several times with the engine not running. After the vacuum is gone, does the pedal return normally? IF so start the car and try again. It it now sticks, replace the vacuum booster. The internal valves are bad and causing the problem. If this isn't it, let me know and well check a few more things.

The white princess has silicone fluid and I've had no problems. My mechanic had to replace all the brake calipers because they leaked. He said since I keep the vette in storage 6 months of the year, silicone would be best to use.
