correct tire size

I'm putting 17x8 ince rim on my 1971 coupe.  I'm having trouble finding the correct tire size.  If anybody has any experience with this application i would appriciate the input.

I was going to put that size 17's on my Vette, but did not.

Vette(s): 1979, Targa Blue (72 Color), Pace Car rear spoiler, L88 hood, Dark blue factory interior, 525HP 406, HD 700R4, 370 gears,Steeroids, composite rear spring, TT IIs wrapped in T/A Radials.
I just printed that and it's in my info folder!! Great stuff Steve!
