I have thought of replacing my rear spring with a composite but in another posting someone complained that the car sits high.

I'm interested in comments, good and bad experience, especially performance and ride height. Make sure you include specs and model # when making comments.

Thanks

Vette(s): 1979 Black on Black, heavily modified. 1975 Orange, bone stock (for now).
Just get the dual mount mono leaf kit from Van Steel or Vette Brakes and you'll be able to adjust the ride height to your liking, make sure you get the longer bolts for it for extra adjustment! |cheers|

Vette(s): 1976, custom paint, chrome headers/side pipes, front/rear spoilers, dual side sport mirrors, bubble tail light conversion
I have the fiberglass spring on my 76 and it sits at just the right height - at least from what I can tell!

Made a big difference in the ride too.

I recommend it!|thumb|

The composite rear spring is a winner all the way, unless you want originality above all. Improved ride and you'll save about 40-45 pounds of unsprung weight. That's very positive, especially since Corvettes have a rear weight bias anyway. It makes for a better balanced car and improves handling.

I installed one in my 80 this summer and love it. Nice ride and no hight problems. Highly recommend it. |bouncy|

Hi Charlie
Get a composit spring from Vette Brakes + Products.
The TRW composit springs rase ride height with
increased spring rate Vette's don't.
I put a 360 lb Vette spring in my 78 and it rides hard
but stats flat in the corners! The 3/4" rear sway bar
is worth going with too!
Ride height is stock.
Steve
