Clunk and drops when shifting from N to

When I shift my 1982 vet it clunks and feels like it drops about a inch I think this place has helped me with the clunk but have any of you guys felt the droping ?

The "drop" you feel when putting it into gear(forward) is normal. It is a function of the independent rear suspension. It will raise up when put into reverse, for the same reason. Nothing to worry about there!

Should be more pronounced when you are just using the emergency or park brake. Definately normal though.
Get a manual, they only do it when the clutch is let out real quick and you get big piles of smoke coming from the back wheels.

But if it is clunking, check out the universials; all of them. When they get worn and sloppy, you will hear a clunk. Not good.

I was clunking and dropping, was told it was the 'snubber bushings',
replaced all joints and it still clunks with a clean bill of health. Adam
nailed it.
