Chirping noise

Remove the egr valve and put a plate over it ..I think mr gasket sells them at auto zone..sometimes they stick just a little bit..or are getting vacuum when they shouldn't..can be enough dilution to create a stumble..or vacuum advance is acting up also..

If your EGR valve is in any way connected to the valve cover, I think we've found your problem!
The EGR valve is bolted to the intake manifold, pass side, just to the rear of the carb. I think you may be confusing EGR valve with the PCV valve, which DOES go into the valve cover.

Yes I was duh...sorry I checked all the hose tonight and everything is connected PCV rattled fine. Then I started thinkin...that happens only on a full moon like tonight. "They said EGR...not PCV"

And I searched out a thread here from Keyster explaining how to check the EGR valve while the car is running it was from 2005 and pretty detailed. So you done have sum of dat ESP goin as You must ta known I was readin bout it.............

I'll check the EGR tomorrow night.

OK first test worked just like Ken said, push up from bottom of valve and car wants to die out. I'm off to a cruise night so will try next check when I get home and ebo woman can work the throttle for me.
