Carb vacuum stuff!

Hey everyone,

Just replaced the carb on my 74 with a rebuilt stock rochester carb from Discount Auto Parts. Looks like they did a good job! However, the car originally had a holley on there, and this new carb sure does have a lot more hoses and pipes sticking out of it. Anyone know where I can get the diagram for it so I know what to plug in where? I bolted it on, put on the fuel line, and it starts up reaaaal nice. But before it gets up and running, need to know where everything else plugs in..

My manual shows the hose routings for all corvettes except the 73-75 models. I don't understand why these are left out. I'll go check my other books, maybe they will have it.

I am sure you realize the '74 did not come stock with the Holley. There has got to be a book out here that shows how to hook up the carb. I can not remember mine cause it has been over 25 years but I think some of the "extra" vaccuum stuff had to do with the AIR pump. Seems to me, that if you look around the engine, you should find some vaccuum fitting that have been plugged. At least that may give you a starting point.

Yeah, I know the Holley was aftermarket, it wasn't even a carb, it was more of a direct fuel line connection into the intake I'll start snooping around the engine looking for some more fittings after I get done with the rear end. More fun fun fun... I was just hoping that someone had a website or a reference as to what vacuum system got plugged in where...
