I was doiing a reality check on my Q-Jet and here is a formula I found that defines the Carb CFM requirements by CID and desired RPM.
CORRECTED HERE!
Engine CID | X Max RPM | / 3456 | CFM |
350 | 6,000 | 2,100,000 | 608 |
355 | 6,000 | 2,130,000 | 616 |
383 | 6,000 | 2,298,000 | 665 |
350 | 6,500 | 2,275,000 | 658 |
355 | 6,500 | 2,307,500 | 668 |
383 | 6,500 | 2,489,500 | 720 |
Engine CID | X Max RPM | / 3466 | = CFM |
350 | 6,000 | 2,100,000 | 606 |
355 | 6,000 | 2,130,000 | 615 |
383 | 6,000 | 2,298,000 | 663 |
350 | 6,500 | 2,275,000 | 656 |
355 | 6,500 | 2,307,500 | 666 |
383 | 6,500 | 2,489,500 | 718 |
OLD NUMBERS HERE.. COULDN'T CUT IT OUT???

the divisional number is actually 3456, not 3466. You should refigure.

Thanks After Shark. Always good to have someone checking the numbers. It wasn't a big difference, but let's get it right. Thanks, Jack
