If you do decide to replace the engine, the ZZ-4 is a nice smooth powerplant with a full factory warranty. Check your favorite local Chev. dealer. They went for $3,800.00 last year at Carl Black Chev. in Nashville. Engine comes complete with intake and distributor.
To make it right you would also need full length headers and 2-1/2" exhaust, keep your old Q-Jet carb, it can't be beat for the street. Don't know if there are smog cops in Orlando or not. Problem is it would never make it past them without cats....
