Hello all.

My 1975 C3 Coup has close to new Cooper Lifeliner Touring SLE Tires on it. 215/70R15 98T M+5.
My owner's manual says proper inflation is 20psi front and rear.
That seems way low to me.
I checked them and they were all at 29-30psi cold and the car drove like a truck. Very bumpy.
I lowered the pressure on all 4 to 21.5psi and test drove it on the freeway at 70mph and country
roads at 55mph and the vibrations and ride were much better but a litlle sloppy in turns.
Anybody have any recommendations on the best tire pressure?
I just did a google search on the subject and it sent me back here to a post from 2011...
I checked my door sticker and by golly it says 20psi front and rear.
Thanks in advance for any more infomation or experiance you might have on this.
Trent.

GM went to 20 psi when they switched to radials in '73. While the ride is nice at that pressure, tire wear was uneven. I ran 32 psi for street and around 40 psi for autocross. These are 255/60-15s.
