I need new brake pads on my 1978, (srting to squeak a bit).

Does anybody have any recommendations on the type? I like to keep everything as close to original as possible, but if there is something that delivers better braking I would definately use them. The previous owner replaced the calipers with Stainless Steel.

OK-I guess there are no special brake pads.

Thanks anyway!

Sorry - wasn't fast enough. For just general cruisin' around any semi-metallic pad should do just fine. It's when you're going to be doing some heavy duty stopping (like in racing) that special pads are needed.

Vette(s): 1979 Black on Black, heavily modified. 1975 Orange, bone stock (for now).
If you are looking to upgrade your pads so that they work well both on street and track, you should use HAWK pads. They come with a price though, but people say they are well worth it. |cheers|
