I am considering replacing all of the brake lines, since the car came from northern ohio. Has anyone ever used the stainless steel brake line kit from Corvette America? They show prebent lines and I wonder if they match the original lines? If anyone has tryed these sets, please let me know. Thanks Bill

Yes Bill, I have installed the stainless steel brake line set. You do have to kind of reshape them some. They come shipped in a large box and are curved to fit into the shipping sized box. You will have to tighten the heck out of them to get them to seal. The regular steel lines are more malleable, so tightening them to seal isn't as critical as the stainless steel ones. I don't know how hard it would be for you to do, because I did mine with the body off. Good luck on your project!

Would I be better off just getting the regular steel lines? I am in Florida and I do'nt plan on moving north again. The vette is staying south, even I do travel north in the summer to see the grandkids.

Bill, yes the regular steel lines would suffice. You probably would never rust them out.........unless you want to travel up north during the winter (road salt city)...........yeah, right we all put our's to bed around October until about May 1st.
