It is possible to trap air midway through the system at the proportioning valve and without doing a pressurized bleedout with all four calipers involved at once it is almost impossible to exstinguish that light, but it really doesn't cause much affect on the pedal ( sounds like air in the lines to me ).  Good Luck.
