Vette(s): 1975 L48 4sp. Coupe... Rebuilt Motor
Greetings, I have a '75 coupe with about 60k on the odometer. I picked up a complete Borgeson steering gear conversion with rag joint and Drag link adapter with new pump lines as well. I understand the general install instructions in terms of mounting the gear box and collapsing the column approx 2.5 inches. My question is what is done with the current power steering components such as the hydraulic ram and other lines that run the current PS system.

Also, what else if anything should I do outside of the general installation that others here have found beneficial.

Thanks in advance for all the input,
Pat

Either ditch the control valve, steer cylinder and hydraulic lines or if they are still good offer them for sale on here, eBay or Craigslist.

Your going to love the Borgeson box.

I still like the upgrade on my 73. You will like it too. No more leaks under the car and much better steering control.

Thanks, Iv'e heard nothing but good things about this conversion, just want to make sure I can remove the old parts. Probably get it done this week.

Thanks for the info and any other details,
Pat
