To all my fellow C3'ers:
I am intending to replace my OE shocks on my 78SA which is stock and would like some opinions, pros and cons, preferences etc.....actually any input at all regarding Bilstein vs KYB shocks....cost is not an issue.....
Any and all comments etc are very welcomed..
Thanks,
mk's78 aka mike

If cost is not an issue, go with the Bilsteins. I have them on my 79 Vette and LOVE them. I also just put a set on my 96 Dodge Ram pickup and it's like getting a new truck! In fact, it rides and handles BETTER than new! The only reason for going with the other shocks is to save money. If you get them, you will NOT be disappointed!

My '79 is pretty much stock and I use it as a "driver." The KYB's I have on it are just fine and I spent the savings on yet another Corvette project.

Another vote for Bilstein's. 3 month old KYB's were replaced with Bilsteins and the difference in ride and handling were outstanding.

I rebuilt the front an rear on the 75 I put Bilsteins shocks on and they work great. The ride great. I now am working the 72 and will put the Bilsteins shocks on it also. YOU WONT GO WRONG WITH BILSTEINS.
Good luck.
SEE EVERYONE IN MAY
