. If I do find something I'll get to you. In the meantime take a look in older postings. There's one dated July 4th "What belt"? posted by Christen. He included a colored diagram for his belt configuration. He also has a 71 LS5.

Found this pic and a corresponding thread over on CF. The belt closest to the block is missing because he says he's waiting for the idler pulley to arrive. I believe some don't even use an idler, you gotta pull the pulley off to get the belt on. Hard to see in the pic but there ARE 3 grooves on the crank pulley. Owner of this says the forward belt goes around the crank, water pump, AC, AND AIR pump. Mike

I have a 74 bb, A/C, PS & Air, but no air pump (previous owner removed it).
