ballstud steeringvalve

i have replaced/rebuilt all parts of the steering system on my vette except the ballstud on the valve since that didn't came with the steeringvalve rebuilt kit.
but with the rebuilding of my mustang, the rebuilt kit came with a new ballstud and sleeve and when taking the old stud/sleeve out i could notice the wear on it.  that makes me wonder if it would still be a good idea to replace the ballstud and sleeve on my vette too . so my question is.. has anyone done this and could notice the improvement of the handling ?
