I got a new temp gauge from Corvette Central and a new sender from lectric limited. I installed the sender with RTV on the threads. The gauge barely came off 100. I called lectric limited, the guy told me that you're not supposed to use any sealer and that the sender wasn't grounding right. I took the sender out cleaned it off and re installed it. Now it works but won't go past 130. I loosened up the sender and retightened it a few times to make sure it was getting good contact, same result. Do you think I got a bum sender? Also, I grounded out the wire and the gauge went all the way to the top.
Any advice is greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Matt
