I decided to let a pro finish my steering coupler.

I can't get in there so well and the wheel and steering gear need to be centered anyway, and the brakes are sloppy, so I took her in to a shop in San Dimas, CA for a look see.  He has a dozen or so Corvettes he's restoring in there.  A maroon '65 I could see myself in and a white '62.

I almost asked for a quote for Steeroids and Wilwood brakes but I came out of the trance in time.  We'll see how he does.

He's also working on a '69 with three dueces.

Had to take the bus home.  Buck fifty!  Good deal.  But it's gonna hit 82 degrees today, not good waiting 30 minutes in the sun.

Cheers

if the steering control valve and or steering box are bad or worn look into steeroids or some of the other rack and pinion option. it replaces all those components.

Picked up the Vette today.  Drives great now.  But, this is the first considerable rain in quite awhile and my wipers wouldn't come on.  If its raining hard enough, the water sheets off the windshield.  And my T-Tops leak.  Oh well, its not my plan to drive in the weather anyway.
