What's the difference between a 3.36 type A, and a 3.36 type B? The "general discussion" forum had a new Canadien C3 web site. Under the options for my year ('72), both were listed. My car has the Type A.
Thanks.

Without looking, my guess is either one is posi and the other non-posi, or..different manufacturers. If no-one else can verify, I'll look it up later...on the way out the door now...

kinda thinking the same,  posi and non-posi.... not sure about different manufacturers though..  corvette chunks are kinda  a critter all to there own,  manufactured by Eaton.  Always got a kick going the parts house and asking for a 8 bolt rear gasket for a 76 chevy... kinda got those confused looks :)  (almost as good as asking for a lower radiator hose for a 68 volkswagon)...

My references say that only 68 and 69 cars could be ordered without positraction, and only about 3,000 were delivered that way.

I have no information about the A and B types.
