That stuff is junk. Manufacturers, both oe and aftermarket spend a lot of engineering time and money trying to smooth and straighten out airflow for best metering (carb and fuel injection), mixture and combustion. This stuff...if it does what it says...just screws up the air flow.

I've seen infomercials showing increased horsepower using them. If you notice (and if the claims are accurate), the increase is at full throttle only. I know we drive Corvettes, but no one lives behind the wheel at full throttle. Not even drag racers use them from what I see.

If it sounds too good to be true...

yep- ive always wondered how putting a cheap piece of metal junk in your carb is going to render all the science and engineering from the car manufacterers void- i mean come on! dont you think they might have thought of it beforehand if it had actually worked?

The only Turbonator I know of is our governor here in the Land Of Fruits
And Nuts...

oh, no--wait a minute...that's "The Terminator"!!!

(Although upon reflection, the two do have a lot in common: they both do
a lot of spinning and blowing hot air--with not so much to show for it.
But to be fair, that's true of all politicians!)

I veiwed a car program on Speed Vision, I can't recall the program name, that tested all the after market gas milage improvement products, tornado, magnets, turbonator, etc... and none lived up to claims of increased fuel milage or horsepower.

In fact, most of the products had no effect and a few actually decreased fuel mileage. It was a very thorough study using a single test vehicle, precisely measured fuel amounts and a dynometer.

Hope this helps.
