I saw a total sleeper '69 Coupe this past weekend at a show in So Cal with a 6 speed. This monster has a 454 bored out to 460 C.I. and it made approximately 600 HP...without the nitrous!! The ground shook when this thing was running. He said he hadn't been able to run a full quarter since he kept breaking transmissions...best time to date is low 11's before the 6 speed conversion. If I run into him again I'm gonna see if it's run a the quarter yet at full steam...my bet is low 10's.

I'm interested in that $5000 if anyone else is giving! Heck, I might even work for it!

I have a 72 LT-1 with a 4:11 rear end that is very hard to take on trips. I drive the car and want originality so this is what I have always felt that the car should have. Finding the cash to do this may take some time but I believe someday this trans will sit in my car.
