This one's fairly easy, Jim!
Luckily, the thing will only fit one way on the gearbox side.
First, remove the two nuts holding the coupler to the column flange. Look at them carefully! They are two different sizes.(usually)
Then, you need to loosen the steering column, under the dash. Take the cover below the steering column off, and there are two nuts holding the column to the dash frame.
Remove these nuts, and the column will drop some. This is usually enough to move it rearward, and disengage the coupler.
Then, you need a twelve point socket(7/16", I think) to remove the bolt that goes thru the coupler on the steering box. Once that bolt is out, you can remove the coupler, and reverse the procedure for the install.
Be carefull not to turn the steering wheel while the coupler is disconnected.

How do I know when the new box is adjusted right? I mean if I get it too tight it'll wear out quick and the steering wheel won't "return" correct?

I didn't notice you were replacing the gearbox. In that case, you will NOT need to loosen the steering column.
If you're putting a "new" gearbox on there, you shouldn't NEED to adjust it.
When the boxes are adjusted properly, there will be a slight drag in the center position, and loosen up a bit as it turns to the sides.
