I picked up an aluminum water pump for my BB, and was wondering if any one knew of a  clear coating that won't yellow with age.  While I don't particularly want to paint it Chevy Moly orange, aluminum left to it's own devices, will corrode over time and look crummy.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

NJ BB Ken

I got my BB intake pretty hot while breaking it in. No finish on it and it still looks pretty good. There are some high heat clears, but you may want to opt for just cleaning it periodically. It might be easier to keep it clean than to have to take it off to remove a finish that yellowed or peeled.

Eastwood makes a product in spray cans called Diamond Clear semi gloss. While I've never used it, others who have posted good results.
