I'm thinking about getting some alum heads. Some heads have a D shaped exhaust port, some have ports alittle squared off. Will there be any problems with regular (round) shaped header flanges & exhaust flow with the D shaped heads?

 Hope I explained this right!!!!

Marty,

I have aluminum heads with D shape exhaust ports, after talking to everybody and everybody has their opinions I ended up getting ceramic coated stainless steel headers for D shape exhaust heads. I found them at Sanderson Street Rod Headers. look for big block D port heads www.sandersonheaders.com I was told you could use anything that would cover the exhaust ports? I did not take a chance..Terry

Thanks terry,,,,I took a quick look at sanderson headers. Are they shorty headers???? I'll have to spend more time on their site.
