My 73 has been without them since before I got the car. I didn't even know they existed until this summer when I saw one on a 74 at the GM Tech Center show. One would think that after 12 years I would know everything there was to know about my 73. Anyway, Does anybody out there have one that they could get me the dimensions of the ring. My friend works at a fab shop and offer to make one for me. They sell for over $50 for non-original parts. Its not worth that much to me seeing I will have to spend another $65 for the rubber seal too.

I can measure mine, if you'll tell me exactly what you need.
Also, the rubber seal will come as a straight piece. You'll have to cut it to fit, and then use "Super-glue" to glue the ends together.

Thanks. I just need the outside diameter and maybe a few pictures of it. He can use the air cleaner for the inside attachment deminsions.

Brian, I sent you a PM ! I'm assuming you have the correct/original air cleaner base, correct?

Got your PM. Yes, the base is the original. Lust missing the adaptor ring and seal. I had bought a seal along time ago but didn't know the ring existed. I always wondered how come the seal seem to block off the area around the lid and filter.  Makes since now.

Thanks alot
