I read somewhere that the system causes problems with to much oil being put into engine. The system holds around a extra quart, and the cannister does not get refilled in due time. Maybe the users were reving engines up during warm-up with the extra oil circulating in oil.
Maybe they fixed it since, read that around a year ago.
It seemed like a good concept to me, only drive the car on weekends, would have liked to have the oil system presurized after sitting for a week/ or over winter

Once described, I'm very familiar with the setup. Just had not heard that name.
Similar systems are used to keep turbochargers lubed and allow cooling when the engine is shut off to prevent oil burning in the hot turbo bearings.
