Does anyone know if the alum wheels that came on the 84-86 vettes (16') will fit on a 72 with no modification?

Everything I have seen so far requires the use of fitments. Vette Brakes and others carry them.

Can't speak to your exact situation, but I have 16" 86 IROC wheels on my 69. I am using 4 fronts and no spacers/adapters. These wheels came from an 84 Vette, he had the fronts on the rear, and the rears on the front. I tried that on mine but the rears on the front had a hard interference with my brake calipers. I got 2 more fronts and it worked great. I had to grind a little off the parking brake cable mounts on the trailing arms for clearance, but other than that have had no clearance issues.

Mid America sells an adapter for this purpose. Check http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=1.1238 to see if this is what you need.

Thanks for the replys. The adaptors from mid america seem a little pricy for four pieces of aluminum and some lug nuts ($330) I guess I'll just hold off for now until I find some bolt ons.

84-86 wheels will not work without spacers. Mid America is expensive as indicated above. See Wheel spacers on ebay for a better price.
