My Wife has a 72 Shark she bought lst summer. I replaced the power steering power cylinder as it was leaking. The control valve is not leaking, the pump isn't leaking and the hoses are good.
We,ve driven it several times since then and a couple of times after parking the car a few hours later there's a puddle of ps fluid. EAch time I got under the car but can't isolate the leak source. It doens't leak when running.
This is only my second vette, the ex got the first one so I'm not yet up to speed on it!

Is the undercar area around the p.s clean or greasey, its hard to find a leak when its dirty. Clean every piece of the p.s. Start the car, wheels on the ground, turn the wheel lock to lock several times, make the pump strain at the lock positions momentarily each time. Jack up the car, axle stands, crawl under, look for pin holes in hoses, look where the fittings crimp on to the hoses, use tubing wrench double check all the fittings for cross threaded fittings and tightness. Check the p.s.shaft seal for leak, make sure the return hose clamp is tight,be ready to hang out under the car for a couple hrs.
