I'm getting a slip at a certain point during take off. Could it be that I've adjusted the TV wrong? It's been a while so I've forgotten what happens if I adjust it in or out?

Sounds more like it's low on fluid, or the filter needs changed. If neither is the case, it may actually be a bad mount creating that feeling and sound.
