Has anyone ever installed a 700r4 into a 76? I saw where a lot of work may be needed to accomplish this. Any help about this swap will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil

There are several folks here with 700 swaps. I don't think any of them are big blocks, tho!(& nitrous too!) That would be the biggest obsticle with your set-up. 700's are barely able to handle the torque of a healthy small-block! But.....it can be built to do it, for the right $$$$. Check with the guys at Bow-Tie Overdrives, as this is what they do, and you can get some basic info there.

Thanks. They have just what I need. I have upgraded the 700r4 with a lot of heavy duty internals such as hardened input shaft, strengthened sun shell, 5 pinion sun gears(front and rear),case saver ect. It has become an expense but I bought the parts over time so it wasn't a big one time deal.
Thanks again I definitely appreciate the help.
