Placing a 412ci small block(9.25-1 cr,2.02 proline heads,crane powermax 2050
cam 216 in./228ex.@.05, edlebrock egr man., quadrajet) in a 78 vette w/ 350
THM. Any suggestions as to what stall speed converter would work best? My
engine builder says the engine has so much low end torque that it doesn't
matter much. He did say I could go with a 1800-2000 stall speed.

you should choose your stall converter based on where your power band begins..
on your torque curve you would look for the point where it starts increasing sharply..
if your going to have a plethora of low end torque.. then it would probably be quite low.
i plugged your info into desktop dyno.. unfortunately it doesnt show anything below 2000 rpm.. but your torque is near the max at 2000...
so definitely below 2K..
