I will be pulling my four speed Manual transmission to see what's wrong. It will not shift into third gear. All the other's work. Near as I can tell from the serial number the transmission is a Borg Warner that was originally in a 1982 F Body.

Where can I get information on how to repair this and also do a rebuild of the syncros etc.

I had a 82 F-Body an IROC and If I remember corectly it had a T-56 5 Speed. I'd figure out whats in there before You  look to rebuild it. Could just be a Shifter Issue on the Outside of the Trans.

I'm pretty sure it's from a Camaro; the serial number on the transmission is 1CL128350. It is not matching to my vehicle.

The casing number on the transmission is 1304065903 W.G. Div. FpC4.

I found this post on the Chevelle forum.  If it won't go into third, I would suspect a synchro, but it could be a shifter issue, so It is worth checking first.

The 1304065903 is the number for an aluminum case Super T-10 which was an OEM GM transmission used from 1975 through the early 80's. ...

Otay...before ya start rippin this thing out for a rebuild, a couple of questions...
"It will not shift into third gear"...what does this mean? Does the shifter move into the third gear position, but the trans is like in neutral?
Does the shifter not go into the third gear position? Like something binding, or keeping the shifter from physically moving into that position?
Does the trans make any noise while in the third gear position?

Inquiring minds want to know!
It does appear to be a mid '80s ST10 trans, from the pics...
