I have a stock 77 with a L48 and 3spd turbo 350 Transmission.
Question is..How much can it handle with a engine rebuild or replacement.
I plan on rebuillding or replacing my engine with a small upgrade in horsepower..Not much maybe 50 to 100 hp. Do I need to replace trans with a stronger one. If so what type and how hard is it to replace with a newer one?

IF the trans is in good condition now, then you shouldn't have any issues with it. The stock 350 trans can handle 250-300hp when properly assembled, with stock components.
