Hi all,
Anyone know the proper torque specs? Shop manual from Chevrolet says 130 in lbs.
Other publications say :
7-9 ft lbs
10 1/2 - 13 ft lbs
84 -90 in lbs
Does anyone know ?
Thanks

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
I don't KNOW, but think it would depend on the type of gasket used. Neoprene -v- rubber -v- cork. Are you assembling it dry or wet? Have to be careful of squish factor!

Using cork gasket. Installing it dry. What do you suggest? Thanks

My 72 GM Service manual says 130 inch lbs. Not sure if that helps.
