1981 egr solenoid removal

just had headers installed. the AIR pump and smog equipment was removed and plugged where required. the EGR solenoid is still in place. can i remove this and related vac hoses without causing a problem? or does something need to be plugged

 I have a 81 and I removed everything but the EGR solenoid and pluged up all the existing air openings. Car runs well

ok , well i pulled it and just plugged everything i could find on the carb end and electrical taped all the connectors.  one less item of clutter. car seems to be happy

did you remove and blank off the actual egr valve on the manifold  as well?
