Can one of the members tell me what shift ball was originally on the '72 Muncie M20? Is it white with 4-speed pattern embossed in the top or was it plain black. I'm still working on a basket case LS5 and the shift ball is missing. I know some Chevelle SS have a white ball, but how about the C3?? Thanks!!

Thanks Ben; the black shift ball with no shift pattern imprint seems to be what I'm now finding to be original on just about all C3s.
You have a great website concerning rebuild of your '69. Would you mind if I emailed you to discuss front body clip removal?
Thanks,
Doug

Back in 1978 my '70 M20's shift ball was plain black.

Only 34 years together

btw I am pretty sure I have a couple of those plain black shifter balls if you want one.
all you would have to pay is shipping.

"The Toy" had a solid chrome ball. I have a dealer brochure buried away somewhere that should have an interior shot. I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks for all the replies; your assistance is much appreciated. I'll follow-up if I need to get one of these (sounds like the price is right).
Thanks........Doug
