I am thinking about changing the rear wheel bearings, inner and outer on both rear wheels. Do I need any special tools to do this, or is this a pretty simple task to do. Any information on how to get started would be appreciated. Thanks, Jimmie

Jimmie,
Yes in my opinion, there are several special tool needed to remove and install the bearings. They are pressed on the spindle. It took me 45 minures to completely tear apart one side. I am currently putting everythnig bacjk together. Luckily for me, I was able to make most of the tools. Things you will need to do...
Tool to press the spindle out of the bearing support (When you do this, you will also press out the inner bearing.)
Puller to pull outer bearing.
Tool to press in outter bearing.
you can use the castle nut to press on the inner bearing.
I hope this helps.
Mike
If you need any specifics, email me. I can send pictures if you want.

Don't let me discourage you. It really isn't too hard to do. I thought the drawings I found made it look a lot harder then it was. Let me know if you need any help.
Mike
